Meet Our “Lear”

27 Apr

Our crowd-funding campaign with the Kingdom Collective for Edward Bond’s LEAR is off to a great start! Within the first week, we received support from 16 backers and have raised almost $1,200! Our $100 and $150 donation levels each have only one spot left! We still have a long way to go, but we are thrilled by the response and support we have received thus far. Thank you to all our donors!

As this campaign continues, every week we will be releasing a new behind-the-scenes video from the artists involved, info on the production and our community partners, and more. Here is our first video in this series: actor Thomas Gough (who played Creon in our 2012 production of ANTIGONE) who will be playing Lear. Check out the video and donate today!

Our Biggest Fundraiser for Our Biggest Project to Date!

19 Apr

We are working with the Kingdom Collective, a new independent theatre collective in Toronto, to produce Edward Bond‘s LEAR: a bold and epic re-imagining of Shakespeare’s King Lear that, in our current social climate, is more relevant now than ever. Over the next three months, our goal will be to raise $15,000 so we can put this production on its feet in the way it deserves to be done. The scale of our vision matches the epic nature of this piece.
