THOMAS GOUGH (EBENEZER SCROOGE) Thomas was first on stage at the age of five, but was certainly acting before that. In the last few years he has appeared frequently in independent theatres in and around Toronto, having worked at various times with Soup Can Theatre, Single Thread Theatre, The Storefront Theatre, safeword theatre, Thought for Food Theatre, Alumnæ Theatre, Hart House Theatre, Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, Theatre By the Bay (Barrie), and the Kick And Push Festival (Kingston). He often reads at Sing for Your Supper, and also does film, television, and recording work.

JIM ARMSTRONG (FEZZIWIG / MR. BARLEYCORN) Jim is thrilled to be working for the first time with Three Ships Collective and Soup Can Theatre. His favourite roles include Detective Dick in High Park Noir (Simply Twisted Productions), Rosencrantz in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Hart House Theatre), Jean in Rhinoceros (Seven Siblings Theatre), and Ambituoso in Cousins of Corsica (Springworks Festival). Jim is a member of Soldiers of Song, a tribute to Canadian WWI concert party The Dumbells. On screen, you can spot Jim in episodes of Coroner, Imposters, American Gothic, Man Seeking Woman, and Murdoch Mysteries, as well as upcoming short film Buzzard. MAKENNA BEATTY (TINY TIM / LITTLE EBENEZER) Makenna is thrilled to be making her theatre debut with Soup Can Theatre!  Kenna is a singer, dancer, TV and voice over actor, based in Toronto. Makenna enjoys horseback riding, art, singing, school sports and clubs, and spending time with her family and friends.  Selected Film and TV credits include: Murdoch Mysteries (Shaftesbury, CBC), The Strain (FX), The Listener (Shaftesbury, CTV), Man Seeking Woman (FXX), Wild Kratts (PBS). Makenna would like to thank her Mom, Dad and brothers for all of their support, Shari, Paige, Noelle and Tim for always believing in her, and all of her friends for cheering for her and understanding her sometime crazy schedule. CHLOE BRADT (TINY TIM / LITTLE EBENEZER) Chloe is making her debut performance with Three Ships Collective and Soup Can Theatre.  After a very early start with modeling and commercial work it was after her first film role at age 6 she decided she loved performance. Her film directing and acting helped bring her school’s entry to this year’s Kids TIFF Jump Cuts finals. She hopes to attend School for Performing Arts in the fall. She is fully bilingual and likes playing with accents. Her latest athletic endeavor is a foray into springboard and platform diving. Chloe is thrilled to be a part of such an accomplished cast in such a novel venue.

ALEX DALLAS (MRS. DILBER / MRS. FEZZIWIG) Alex Dallas was a member of Sensible Footwear Women’s Comedy Troupe for 18 years and toured the UK, Canada and the USA with their explosive, bawdy and feminist comedy. She then became Queen of the Fringe touring three solo shows around the world, including L.A. Australia and the Edinburgh Fringe. Her last visit to Campbell House was in Talking Heads by Alan Bennett in Lady of Letters. She is a voice over artiste and has voiced many TV and radio commercials as well as playing Queen Victoria in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

CHRISTOPHER FOWLER (JACOB MARLEY) Christopher Fowler is delighted to be making his debut with the Three Ships Collective and Soup Can Theatre. His past theatre credits include work with Jump Star (Nithy, Ace Detective), Shakespeare BASH’d (The Taming of the Shrew; Love’s Labour’s Lost), Nobody’s Business Theatre (Scheherazade), Humber River Shakespeare (As You Like It; Twelfth Night), Left Foot First Productions (In Pink), Crate Productions (The Fort at York), Theatre New Brunswick (Smokescreen; For Art’s Sake; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe), and the Classical Theatre Project (Romeo and Juliet; Othello). MIKE HOGAN (YOUNG SCROOGE / OLD JOE)  Mike is a Toronto-based actor from Windsor, Ontario. A graduate of the University of Windsor’s BFA program, Michael is thrilled to be working for the first time with Soup Can Theatre. CHRISTOPHER LUCAS (GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT / LAD) Hailing from the UK, and a (very!!) new Toronto resident; Chris trained as an Actor/Musician at Liverpool Arts Centre and went on to gain a BA (Hons) in Music & Acting Performance at the Royal Welsh Conservatoire of Music and Drama. Since moving to Canada, his Theatrical credits include: Othello (Othello) Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors) and Theo (The Underpants). Selected, previous theatrical credits include: Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Gbatokai (Festen), Duke of Buckingham (Richard III), Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Porter (Macbeth), Derek (Once a Catholic). He is extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to play the Ghost of Christmas Present in a play which was one of his childhood favourites!

MARGO MACDONALD (MRS. CRATCHIT) Margo MacDonald is a multi award-winning performer and playwright whose work has toured nationally and internationally. Although she’s new to the city, Toronto audiences may have seen her in The Elephant Girls (Red Sandcastle Theatre; One More Night Festival; The Staircase), Shadows  (Videofag), and Much Ado About Feckin’ Pirates! (Toronto Festival of Clowns). Outside of Toronto, other recent performance credits include: Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), Fly Me to the Moon, Pomme & ‘Restes: Shipwrecked! on the Tempestuous Lost Island of Never, and A Mid-Winter’s Dream Tale (all with the Great Canadian Theatre Company); Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing (A Company of Fools); Noises Off and Blood Brothers (Gladstone Productions); Age of Arousal (Bear & Co); The Norman Conquests (Plosive Productions); and The Penelopiad (Citadel Theatre). WILLIAM MATTHEWS (BOB CRATCHIT) William is a Theatre, TV and Voice Over Actor based in Toronto. Selected theatre credits include The 39 Steps at Lighthouse Festival Theatre, Blue/Orange for Theatre Kingston, Ethan Claymore at Magnus Theatre, The Skinny Lie at Manitoba Theatre for Young People. TV Credits include, Murdoch Mysteries, The Umbrella Academy, Reign, Covert Affairs. William was also co-writer of The Full Mounty which has been produced at Lighthouse Festival Theatre and Bluewater Summer Playhouse.

AMY MARIE WALLACE (GHOST OF CHRISTMASES PAST) Amy Marie Wallace is an Actor Musician born and raised in Beamsville, Ontario and is now based in Toronto. Graduate of The George Brown Theatre Program, she is also a violinist with a degree in Music from Wilfrid Laurier University. Selected theatre credits include: Hastings! KHOLBY WARDELL (PETER CRATCHIT / MR. BAILIWICK) Kholby hails from the West Coast and splits his time between Toronto and Victoria. He is a theatre, musical theatre, solo and cabaret artist and is known for originating the role of Noel Gruber in the smash hit musical Ride the Cyclone. He has continued with “Cyclone” over its decade long run as it’s played in theatres across Canada and the United States, including its Sold-Out Off-Broadway run in 2016. Favourite recent credits include Tobias in Sweeney Todd, Freddie in My Fair Lady, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrorsand Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest. Kholby is the co-recipient of a Best Ensemble Chicago Theater Joseph Jefferson Award for “Cyclone” and a Victoria Critics Choice Nominee for Best Actor for Metamorphoses.

SARAH THORPE (DIRECTOR / CO-PRODUCER) Theatre artist and co-founder of Soup Can Theatre. JUSTIN HAIGH (WRITER / CO-PRODUCER) Justin is a graduate of York University’s Film Production and Screenwriting program but has found a happy home in the world of independent theatre. Justin is proud to be one of the founding members of Soup Can Theatre; his credits include Soup Can Theatre’s previous seven productions, Love is a Poverty You Can Sell (Writer/Emcee segment Co-Director/Co-Producer), Marat/Sade (Sound Designer/Set Co-Designer/Co-Producer), Antigone (Co-Producer), A Hand of Bridge / No Exit (Co-Producer, No Exit Dramaturge, Sound Designer, Set Co-Designer), Love is a Poverty You Can Sell 2: Kisses for a Pfennig (Writer/Emcee segment Co-Director/Co-Producer), The Session – part of Circle Jerk (Writer/Director), and Heretic (Dramaturge/Co-Producer). KATHLEEN HEMSWORTH (STAGE MANAGER) Kathleen is an award-winning stage manager, working predominantly in the Toronto indie theatre scene. She is a graduate of York University’s Theatre Production program and Humber College’s Event Management graduate program. Other previous stage management credits include Titus Andronicus(Hart House), The Five Points (Theatre by the Bay), The Princess Knight (Solar Stage), Measure for Measure (Thought for Food), Heretic (Soup Can), and World Stage Design (Cardiff, Wales).

PRATIK GANDHI (MUSICAL DIRECTOR) Pratik Gandhi is a freelance conductor based in Toronto.  He has been music director of Soup Can Theatre since its inception, and also serves as music director of the Rouge River Winds.  Pratik is Vice-Chair of the Concert Band division of Musicfest Canada, and syllabus coordinator for the OBA Concert Band Festival.  He has also been selected as a finalist for music director of the Wellington Wind Symphony in Kitchener, for which he will conduct in several concerts during their 2018-19 season.  Pratik is originally from Markham, and received B.Mus. and M.Mus. degrees from the University of Western Ontario.

WENDEL WRAY (CO-PRODUCER) Since beginning his theatrical career, Wendel has taken on many different roles. Starting his career as a costume technician, Wendel went on to make his costume design debut in January 2017 for The Gut Girls (Alumnae Theatre,) which he also co-produced. Coming from a multidisciplinary background in the arts, Wendel takes pride in fine tuning a variety of skills in order to better understand his craft. Recent costuming credits include Macbeth’s Head (Toronto Fringe 2017,) and Exiles (Sad Ibsen Theatre, 2016). More recently, Wendel has branched into the world of producing and production management, most recently with All of Me (Theatre Insomnia, 2018), and has further expanded his resume by working as a dog handler on Legally Blonde: The Musical! (Nightwood Theatre, 2017).  In addition to working with other companies, he is the Managing Director and co-founder of Theatre Insomnia, a Toronto-based theatre company mandated to providing a more accessible theatrical experience to artists and audiences alike, by providing a voice to those who have been socially, mentally, and/or physically disadvantaged.

CHELSEA DRIVER (COSTUME / PROP DESIGNER) Chelsea Driver is an interdisciplinary spatial designer based in Toronto, ON. She works in film, theatre, opera, and spatial design. Past credits include Post Script: Toronto’s largest pop-up bar (Co-Designer), Space Pirates (set designer and scenic artist) The Sunnyside of the Street (assistant set and costume designer) and Kopernikus (assistant set coordinator). Chelsea holds a degree in Theatre Production and Design from York University and is very excited to be a part of presenting A Christmas Carol with Soup Can Theatre at the Campbell House and hopes you enjoy the show and have a Happy Christmas.
